Thai SEC’s Crypto Academy Launched

The Thai Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced Wednesday that it has launched “Crypto Academy” to provide free online resources and courses on digital assets. The initiative is intended to provide the public with a thorough understanding of digital assets and blockchain technology before investing, the regulator said, adding:

The more you know which investments you are investing, the less risk you will have.

The Sec Crypto Academy is currently running four courses. The first is aimed at providing new investors with a basic understanding of the cryptocurrency marketplace, including the definition of cryptocurrency and the principles of blockchain technology.

The second course focuses on the main characteristics of cryptocurrencies and their underlying technology. It covers bitcoin, decentralization and peer-to-peer systems as well.

The third deals with significant past, present and future crypto events, including half of Bitcoin and earlier price falls. It also covers the ecosystem of digital assets, digital tokens, non-fungible tokens (nfts), metavers, and prospects for the crypto marketplace.

The fourth course focuses on investment strategies, diversification, investor sentiment, asset management and base price analysis with the help of graphs and other indicators.

Cryptosec academy also provides crypto quotient (cq), a self-evaluation that allows investors to test their knowledge of cryptography to determine if they are ready to enter the world of digital assets.

In August, the Thai Ministry of Finance arkhom termpittayapaisith explained that the government is planning crypto regulations. SEC Secretary-General Ruenvadee Suwanmongkol said in July: "The extreme volatility of digital asset prices has stimulated the urgent need for better oversight."
