State senator pushes bill to make Bitcoin legal tender in Arizona

Wendy rogers, a senator from the state of Arizona in the United States, has initiated bills regarding cryptocurrency, including the one aimed at making bitcoin () legal tender in Arizona. 

I just tweeted a few weeks ago, Rogers quoted data from investment firm Goldman Sachs that BTC is the world's most successful asset and announced that it has launched a set of crypto invoices.

One of the proposed bills focuses on making BTC legal tender in the U.S. state. In the event that it is adopted, Canada's status will be equal to that of the United States dollar, become an agreed means of exchange for the payment of debt, public charges, Government taxes and contributions. 

In 2022, the state senator also introduced a similar bill without success. Notwithstanding this, rogers continues its efforts to advance btc in the state. In April 2022, Rogers opposed central bankers and expressed support for bitcoin. She tweeted:

Apart from this, Rogers also participated in introducing a bill that seeks to make crypto a tax-exempt property. If approved, voters can decide in 2024 whether they want chips that do not represent foreign currency or the U.S. dollar to be tax-free.

On Sept. 7, 2021, El Salvador officially made Bitcoin a legal tender in the country. Over a year later, doing Bitcoin legal tender in the country turned out to be beneficial. El Salvador experienced increased tourism in 2022, with 1.1 million people visiting the country in the first half of the year.

On 22 January, Brazil and Argentina announced that they were in the process of creating a common currency parallel to the real Brazilian peso and the Argentine peso. Responding to this, COINBASE CEO Brian Armstrong suggested that moving to Bitcoin may be the right “long-term bet” for both countries.
