Tether, issuer of the world's largest stablecoin, USDT, reported $700 million in fourth-quarter profit in its latest attestation report.
The profit was added to Tether's stockpile. Surplus reserves were $960 million or more at the end of 2022.
Assets on the December date. 31 amounted to $67 billion with a liability of $66 billion, most of it related to digital chips issued.
Tether also stated that he finished 2022 with zero trade paper.
