The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is planning to file a motion by 24th June to quash the deposition subpoena served by the defendants (Ripple) on a former SEC official. The official calendar of the motion is indicated below.

The motion proposed in the motion is the result of a disagreement between the two parties, like ripple wants to interview a former civil servant under oath and sec is completely against it. Judge netburn would decide if ripple gets to challenge the former civil servant dry (currently unknown) or not.

The second anti-ripple case has come a long way in the past six months, and whilst both sides want to take a moral stand, this is not over. There have been several developments in the case with numerous hearings going in favor of ripple and few others seem to have an advantage. At one point it also seemed as if SEC would take the settlement route.
