Digital security service 1password announced a partnership with phantom wallet to allow asset holders to merge their vast collection of public key addresses, start phrases and other corresponding security details in a single 'save in 1password' system.

Operating primarily in the mainstream financial sector at the moment, 1password has over 100,000 corporate clients from a range of industries, including well-known trademarks like ibm, slack, shopify and underwear.

The purpose of the 1password application programming interface (api) is to simplify the user experience, allow the sovereignty of assets and assign portfolio responsibility to help investors sufficiently manage their cryptocurrencies and non-figurable tokens (nft) held on the solana blockchain.

A centralised entity in its base, some would say that 1 password defies the ideological consensus of the web3 industry, against the untrustworthy argument often proclaimed, with a conscious emphasis on safety certainty and casualty prevention.

Consumers familiar with interaction in e-commerce and social profiling markets have gained extensive experience navigating through time-consuming login and password storage processes. When entering the cryptocurrency space, a comprehensive education on the intricate nuances of digital wallet security is crucial for the protection and real ownership of acquired assets.

The co-telegraph got in touch with matt o'leary, vp of partnerships for 1 password, for a thorough safety evaluation, as well as the prevalence of hacks and exploits in the decentralised financial space (challenge) catalyzing the need for demand and subsequent innovation for security solutions such as 1password.

O'leary said its 'important to keep in mind that crypto portfolio logins are much more complex than the average login, consists of long character strings and word strings that must be recalled and entered without error", before remarking:

The 1password partnership with phantom is an excellent example of innovation that overcomes this challenge... this man-centered approach to crypto portfolio security has been designed with the end user in mind, investing in cryptography securely is now easier than ever.

O'Leary expects Phantom to be the first of many crypto-themed partners in the coming months to integrate the company's flagship service, except in one pass.

Cointelegraph talked to brandon millman as well, phantom wallet's ceo and co-founder, to learn more about his macro vision of the digital portfolio security market as we move towards the conceivable utopia of widespread adoption.

"For cryptography and Web3 to become common, people need to have confidence in the safety and security of their assets. Stories about people losing their cryptography or being hacked can be daunting.

Millman went on to explain that "the benefits of a non-custodial portfolio in terms of personal control and independence also come with the added responsibility of personal key management."
