Researchers develop bioengineered cornea that can restore sight to the blind and visually impaired

In what may be referred to as a leap forward in medical science and health care, scientists from liaison university (liu) and liaison life sciences ab, sweden, developed a biological implant which restored vision to 20 sick corneal patients, which were mostly blind prior to implantation. The study was published Thursday in Nature Biotechnology.
