Whale sells 1,010 NFTs in 48 hours in ‘largest NFT dump ever’

NFT whale Jeffrey Hwang, also known as Machi Big Brother, sold 1,010 NFTs within 48 hours. NFT was traded against 11680 ethers (), valued at approximately $18.6 million at the time of sale. Some of the NFT sold came from important NFT collections such as the annoyed monkey nautical club (bayc), the mutant monkey nautical club (mayc) and other NFT.

Within a Twitter feed, andrew thurman, of the nansen chain analyst, stressed that the movement might be the "greatest NFT discharge ever." after the discharge, Hwang has purchased 991 NFT, leading thurman to believe that it was a "great washing business" to generate profits from the fuzzy airflow.

Snow Crash manuscript that coined the term ‘metaverse’ to be auctioned by Sotheby’s

Neil Stephenson’s Snow Crash — recognized as the book that coined the term “metaverse” — will soon be auctioned by art broker Sotheby’s. This auction began in February. 27 and ends on the 6th of March.

The auction is part of a series called "infocalypse", which consists of six physical and six numerical elements linked to the book.

74% of survey participants say they buy NFTs for status

Metaverse platform Metajuice surveyed more than 6,000 NFT users to determine the motivations behind their NFT purchases. The results showed that nearly three of the four collectors purchase NTFs for status and uniqueness.

Metajuice chairman john burris says that people want to possess elements that "increase their perceived status" and the manner in which they appear in the metaverse. The executive also said that the NFT is a "key element" of this.
