On January 31, 2024, Chainwire is present at the Cayman Islands.

EQ LAB, a leading blockchain developer lab, has joined forces with the QRDO Foundation to launch the Warden Protocol, as it is dedicated to growing and developing the QRDO ecosystem. The launch of the Warden Protocol, a protocol that builds on Cosmos and uses the Fusionchain primitive to connect intent-based systems, will be accelerated under this initiative.

Introducing the Warden Protocol

Warden Protocol is a modular intent-centric blockchain built on the Cosmos-SDK. Users can create spaces and wallets on different blockchains and control their activity through on-chain intents at its most basic level. On-chain enforcement by the warden protocol ensures the building of complex multi-leg transactions and protection of cross-chain activity through complex intents.

Space builders can deploy smart contracts on Cosmos using Solidity and WebAssembly with Warden, and a modular marketplace of key management solutions, including HSM solutions and multi-party computation providers, is made possible by Warden.

As stated by a representative for the QRDO Foundation, the Warden Protocol is the newest advancement in intent and interoperability primitives, Our ambitious vision can be realized by joining forces with the EQ LAB team, and QRDO token holders will see a truly decentralized and open world, A protocol for interoperability and key management that places emphasis on the importance of intent.

Various applications have pledged their support to deploy on Warden, including:

  • EQ.finance, a liquid staking hub for Cosmos that puts existing liquid staking tokens to work;
  • WARDD, a USD-pegged decentralized stablecoin that provides Warden users with instant access to dollar liquidity;
  • Marginly, a pluggable protocol for decentralized funding pools that enable margin trading on any spot DEX; and
  • SpaceWard, a SAFE-like platform for wallet management and governance.

The Warden Protocol will be supported by an extensive team of 15 core developers from EQ LAB, who will form the core contributor team.

The Warden Protocol's establishment as a core contributor is something we are thrilled to be a part of, Alex Melikhova commented, The person responsible for founding EQ Lab, A team of qualified blockchain developers who are experienced and qualified, Our view is that the solar ecosystem will have a bright future, We are eager to witness the unlocking of significant value for the communities that hold QRDO and Q tokens currently.

WARD Token

The Warden Protocol plans to introduce the WARD token via a fair launch mechanism. Existing QRDO holders will receive an airdrop and incentivised ward-swap eligibility before anyone else can participate in this launch without pre-mine or investor allocations. The eligibility of Tia and Atom stakers, as well as builders and users from other complementary protocols and chains, will be based on the public goods that are provided by other cosmos chains. We will provide more information in the near future.

Details for an incentive-based testnet will be released shortly, with the Alfama testnet going live in the coming weeks.
