Cryptocurrency trading should not promote their products and services during the LVII Super Bowl on Sunday (February 12).

2022 bear market rocked the sector to its core, wiping out nearly $2 trillion and causing multiple failures. One of the most active advertisers at last year's super bowl was ftx, whose disappearance in November continues to resonate throughout the industry.

From ‘Crypto Bowl’ to No Ads at All

The most anticipated event in the National Football League (NFL) is just around the corner, meaning numerous companies have already inked marketing deals to promote themselves during the match between Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. The sporting event is watched by approximately 100 million people annually, making it a desirable business location.

Unlike 2022, cryptocurrency organisation logos will not shine through the stadium this year. Mark Evans – Executive Vice President of ad sales for Fox Sports – confirmed the speculation, adding that beverage giants like Heineken and fast food brands, including Doritos and M&Ms, will take their place.

FTX, Coinbase, Crypto.com, and eToro were some of the most prominent companies in last year's Super Bowl. Coinbase’s marketing initiative brought so much traffic that the platform experienced an outage.

Several months later, however, the market crashed, and interest in digital currencies began to decrease. COINBASE dismissed some staff due to the unfavorable conditions last summer and fired more people a month ago.

Crypto.com and eToro also downsized due to the negative trends in the sector, while the biggest shock came from FTX.

The once $32 billion giant experienced huge liquidity problems in November and was unable to honour the demands of its users to withdraw. He applied for bankruptcy protection a few days later, depicting one of the most dramatic accidents in crypto history.

Should we look forward to bitcoin wagering this year?

The last match of the NFL playoffs is an appealing event for bookmakers and, of course, players. The famous Canadian rapper Drake made a major $1.26 million bet worth of bitcoin on last year’s game between the Los Angeles Rams (LA Rams) and the Cincinnati Bengals.

He bet $472,000 on the rams to win the championship, approximately $400,000 on odell beckham jr. (obj) for a touchdown and $400,000 on the footballer for over 62.5 reception yards. The musician won both his first and second bets and lost the third, bringing him a $300,000 BTC profit.

He has already put money on the F1 Grand Prix races, the last FIFA match between Argentina and France, and the UFC battles. With his passion in mind, we could attend another bitcoin wager on Sunday.
