FTX’s replacement CEO for alleged crypto fraudster Sam Bankman-Fried, John J. Ray III, charged the failed crypto exchange $690,000 for his first weeks on the job, Ray told the bankruptcy court Monday.

Ray, a lawyer previously known to lead Enron's recovery effort, spearheaded FTX's bankruptcy and its pursuit of billions in assets owed to creditors.

Ray signed up with FTX on November 11th, 2022, and by late December had accumulated $690,000 in hourly charges, He told that to Justice John Dorsey in Delaware bankruptcy court. He's already told the court he's charging 1,300 bucks an hour. That the price breakdown shows that Ray has worked 75 hours per week in his first months at work, including Christmas.
