Hackers have hacked into the social media accounts of Robinhood, a major online trading platform, to sell a piece of fraud. The fake token is called RBH on the BINANCE Smart Chain.

On Wednesday, the account published a tweet announcing the beginning of the suspect coin on bsc, with an initial price of $0.005. Token analysis reveals missing information about the creator and tokenomy.

Other social media profiles of Robinhood were also targeted. According to a BSC analysis provided by Internet inspector ZackXBT, scammers have been able to extract approximately $8,200 BNB token value.

Following the incident, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao disclosed on Twitter that the account in question had been suspended. The tweet was not visible on Robinhood's account when it was written.

It is believed that pirates are "third party suppliers"

According to a representative of Robinhood, the hacker also posted on its Instagram and Facebook accounts.

Robinhood admitted:

"We are aware of unauthorized posts of Robinhood's Twitter, Instagram and Facebook profiles, all of which were removed in a matter of minutes."

The negotiating venue added that, according to their current investigation, they suspect that a third party supplier was responsible for the breach.

Conor grogan, cryptocurrency exchange coinbase's product business development manager, revealed that about 10 people had purchased about $1,000 in counterfeit rbh money before the tweet was removed.

Rbh cryptocurrency was offered by pirates for $0.0005 per unit, on the basis of the pirate's claim. Obviously, the BNB Chain-based coin is nothing more than a “honeypot” swindle.

What is a bucket of honey?

"honeypot" is a common word among cybersecurity experts. In other words, it's a euphemism for something that's supposed to attract somebody; it's just a catch-22.

In its most technical form, a honey pot is a computer system designed to attract cyber attacks, as is a lure. It mimics a target for pirates and uses their undercover efforts to learn more about infiltrators and how they operate, or to divert them from other targets.

Therefore, and in this case, after unsuspecting customers have bought RBH chips, their owners could no longer sell or transfer them.

Cz commented on the violation and encouraged the community to exercise prudence and common sense while purchasing tokens, even if they seem entirely genuine.

Twitter Hackers Target Billionaires

On 15 July 2020, hackers easily broke into Twitter's defence perimeters. They dressed up in elongated musk, beak doors, garenne sideboard, among others.

The accounts of former President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden were also in jeopardy.

Cyber security companies expect the global cost of cybercrime to increase by 15 per cent per year over the next five years, in excess of $10 trillion per year between now and 2025, 3 trillion dollars by 2015.
