Indians visited crypto scamming websites nearly 10 million times last year, according to the blockchain data analytics company Chainalysis. The main cryptography scam sites alone have been visited 4.6 million times by Indian users.

Indians have visited massive crypto scam websites in recent years, according to data from blockchain analysis firm Chainalysis.
The firm found that Indians visited cryptocurrency scam sites 9.6 million times last year. In 2020, that number was much higher. Crypto scam sites have been accessed 17.8 million times by Indian users.
The major cryptocurrency scam sites visited by Indians in the past year, according to the chainalysis, were coinpayu.com, adbtc.top, hackertyper.net, dualmine.com, and coingain.App. The five major crypto scam sites alone received 4.6 million hits from India last year.
The Indian authorities worked on several cases of cryptocurrency scam. Earlier this month, the country’s Enforcement Directorate (ED) seized assets worth about $5 million in an alleged cryptocurrency scam involving Morris Coin.
Crypto-currency scams are among the top priorities of regulators around the world. The North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) recently released its “annual list of top investor threats,” putting crypto scams on top of the list. Furthermore, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) recently warned consumers about scams involving cryptocurrency ATMs.
