Thousands of Ukrainians to investigate regarding Bitcoin, Mines, and Smart Contracts.
Ukraine’s ‘Дія. Цифрова освіта’ (Diia Digital Education) portal has started the first classes of a course intended to improve the “crypto literacy” of Ukrainian citizens, the country’s Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced.
Cited in the forklog crypto journal, the government representative stressed that the course could become "the most important in the history of developing virtual assets in Ukraine." more than 20,000 applicants have already registered, he added.
The education curriculum, free to attendees, will include 100 hours of theory and practice during which they will learn about the history of money and developing Bitcoin.
Other topics include ethereum and smart deals, mining and consensus algorithms, cold and hot portfolios as well as crypto-trading opportunities and risks, the in-depth report.
The initiative results from a partnership between the Digital Ministry, the exchange of cryptocurrencies rooted in Ukraine whitebit, the foundation of filecoin, and atlantis world, a social metavers platform. It was announced in December when Fedorov tweeted that the "purpose is to render the Ukrainians crypto nation advanced."
Ukraine’s parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, passed a law “On Virtual Assets” in mid-February, last year. Despite the invasion of Russia, which began late this month, the government continued its efforts to regulate and expand the cryptography market.
to journalists during the World Economic Forum in Davos in January, Fedorov confirmed Kyiv’s “very ambitious plan” to make Ukraine “the most digitalized country” in the next two years and “the best crypto jurisdiction in the world.” Ukraine is already a regional leader with respect to the adoption of cryptography.
The attacked nation also relied on multi-coin donations to raise funds for its defense and relief efforts. Recent reports by blockchain analytics firms Elliptic and Chainalysis revealed that during the war the country has raised over $212 million in crypto, nearly $70 million of which in wallets provided by its government.
