DFINITY is reinventing the Internet as a computer to host hack-proof software and a new breed of open internet services. The Internet Computer aims to “reinvent the internet”​ by replacing today’s $3.6 trillion dollar legacy IT stack, and enable a new breed of software to accelerate our transition to Web 3.0.

Founded in 2016 by Dominic Williams, DFINITY has offices in Palo Alto, San Francisco, and Zurich, and backed by investors such as Andreessen Horowitz and Polychain Capital.
