A new video of Tesla testing its much-awaited Cybertruck has now emerged. Observations confirm that the truck is approaching production with multiple delays in its start-up schedule.

The latest version of the vehicle was spotted by Flavio Tronzano, while the truck was patrolling the company's headquarters in Palo Alto. Even if we don't know what version of the EV was on the road, it had small triangular sidelights, that are in line with the theme of angular design seen on the electric van.

According to InsideEVs, the model could be a part of Tesla's beta program that is closer to the production version, the first batches of which are scheduled to ship out in the summer.

The characteristics indicate that the lorry is preparing for production.

This is the first time a Cybertruck was seen featuring such mirrors, which replaces the off-the-shelf mirrors in the previous iterations spotted. The redesign can be attributed to the fact that the truck is approaching production, as legislation requires a vehicle to have mirrors in standard equipment. During its design phases, tesla intended to provide a back view using cameras in the center screen.

A retractable flat hood was also seen for the first time in the final iteration of the cybertruck, signaling the model approaching full-scale production.

Elon musk sent out a tweet on February 1st about his satisfaction with the truck's beta. "I was going through the Production Cyber Beta. I cannot believe that."

Production expected to begin in the summer

The truck was unveiled in 2019 and was expected to be launched in 2021. Tesla has missed several release schedules over the past four years, And he finally confirmed recently that his cybertruck is finally going to begin deploying his gigantic factory in Austin, texas, this summer and beyond. Though Musk confirmed that mass production will only begin in 2023.

Tesla informed us that it had begun to put in place the equipment necessary to manufacture the vehicle, which includes moulded parts to mold the body panels of the truck.

It is generally believed that the delay in the launch of the truck can be attributed to Tesla's failure to develop its new 4680-cell battery in time, This is critical for providing the cybercamion with a range of 610 miles (980 km).

The truck's top version promises a 0 to 60 mph (100 kph) sprint in just 2.9 seconds while having a peak speed of 130 mph (209 kph). Tesla should set a starting cost of $40,000 for the truck.
