NFT collector Robbie Acres has taken legal action against OpenSea NFT Marketplace for keeping his account locked following a scam. The collector is unhappy with the NFT market because they failed to respond to their complaint after losing their collections due to a phishing scam.

However, the principal attorney of the reclaimed collector's acres' case is not the only one. According to counsel, several other OPENSEA users have faced similar issues, and the platform neglects certain issues.

Robbie Acres testified that he reported immediately to Opensea after his NFT was stolen as a result of a phishing scam. But it took the market 48 hours to answer, in front of which the thief sold his assets at a lower value.

Acres added that OpenSea’s counteraction against the hack was locking his account for more than three months. The investor asks for justice in the market for having retained his goods in spite of repeated requests for access. It also claims that opensea wanted it to be valid with a declaration before unlocking its account.

Legal counsel for OpenSea. To Prioritize Customers Over Revenue

Acres wants the marketplace to compensate for the losses he incurred. He claims that the shares of opensea have caused him major losses as an active investor in web3.

Meanwhile, his lawyer, Enrico Schaefer, is not the first one to have faced such problems on opensea. He testified that he represented several clients in cases where NFT accounts were stolen or compromised in the opensea market.

According to the lawyer, opensea recognizes its deficiencies and compensates clients in some cases, but ignores them in others.

Moreover, enrico schaefer noted that opensea should give priority to the satisfaction of customers who trade nfts on its platform rather than focusing on growth and turnover.

However, an opensea spokesman stated that the alleged robbery occurred outside the opensea platform, and the thief had sold the items before they received the notification. Under all circumstances, opensea acted by deactivating the elements and the user's account when it notified them. However, he went on to say that opensea had unblocked the acreage account.

The NFT market also stated that it had invested in tools and staff to prevent such incidents, detect thefts and block the sale of stolen items on its platform. According to them, theft is the most difficult problem in the crypto ecosystem, as it occurs via multiple single communication channels in various digital surface areas.

Robberies of phishing websites have become commonplace. On NFT Marketplaces

On August 11, 2022, OpenSea launched a new stolen item policy to adopt and expand the use of police reports. Some users answered this via twitter, saying that opensea didn't help them when their nft was stolen.

Phishing sites are becoming a menace in the crypto atmosphere, including the NFT marketplaces. They display private auction features as a connection button, prompting victims to unknowingly return their NFT.

Another hacker attack threatens LNP owners in the OpenSea market. The hack accesses user accounts with functionality on the opensea platform, enticing them to phishing sites where they lose their objects.

The anti-theft project Harpie cautioned NFT holders on OpenSea to be careful of this new hack system. The ad noted that many users have lost millions in monkeys to piracy.
