Fastagger Inc, a Kenyan AI and blockchain startup, has revealed that it has received funding from CV VC, a blockchain venture capital based out of Switzerland.

The investment is considered important since this is the first time that a web3 and ai start-up based in Africa received an investment from the blockchain hub of the Swiss «crypto valley».

According to the CEO to fast-forward, mutembei kariuki, The company's objective is to deliver innovative solutions that use the best of artificial intelligence and blockchain to create new opportunities for businesses and individuals.

According to the company, Fastagger uses the power of data to support the over 90% of SMEs in emerging markets such as Africa that have been and continue to be impacted by climate change.

Using ai and blockchain technologies to increase sales and financial access, fastagger says it brings insight and commitment from customers to decentralise mobile retail and the integration of the next billion on web3.

The start-up won the Emerging Talent category at the 'Breaking the Wall of Democratizing Artificial Intelligence' conference in Berlin, Germany.

Fastagger is also part of the NVIDIA Inception programme on artificial intelligence innovations as well as the exclusive «Startup with Chainlink» programme, a programme designed specifically to support the founders of Web3. Fastagger was also the only Kenyan Airbus BizLab Africa4Future 2020 start-up to work on agricultural AI with remote sensing data.
