Metaco, a provider of crypto custody technology, has hired former-IBM digital asset specialist Peter DeMeo and made several other key appointments as the company shrugs off tough market conditions and prepares to drive the next phase of big-business crypto adoption.

Secure custody of crypto assets is where rubber has hit the road for banks and institutions in recent years. Custody has pulled prominence again in the wake of the crypto ftx swap collapse and the failures of the crypto network Celsius and coindesk crypto lending platforms genesis of the enterprise, among others.

DeMeo’s appointment as chief product officer matters because IBM, where he was head of digital assets infrastructure, has been quietly building out bank-grade digital assets custody and key management. Custody once again pulled prominence in the wake of the collapse of crypto exchange FTX and the failures of crypto loan platforms Celsius Network and CoinDesk sister company Genesis, among others.

DeMeo's appointment to the position of Chief Product Officer is important because IBM, where he was in charge of the digital asset infrastructure, discreetly implemented the custody and management of bank-grade digital keys.

"This is really a win-win situation because the strongest digital asset partner of ibm in the last few years has been metaco, and now we have a real chance to work together and take things to the next level,' said Demeo in an interview. "metaco is agnostic and will obviously work with other cloud and hardware suppliers. It's a win-win situation because Metaco has been IBM's biggest digital partner in recent years, and now we have a real opportunity to collaborate and move things up,' said DeMeo in an interview.

Metaco is agnostic and will obviously work with other cloud and hardware suppliers. It's not necessarily an exclusive relationship." metaco also took on the former chief architect ibm, angel nunez mencias, who joined as Chief Customer Officer.

Additional hires include former senior executives Accenture, Katrin Koller, as Chief Advisory Officer; old paypal and unbound safety exec rebecca aspler as product manager; and citi aluminium mei li powell as marketing manager. "Last year, the main objective was to develop the team and attract as many talents and seniority as possible," said CEO Adrien Treccani in an interview. Accenture's former director, Katrin Koller, was also appointed as a board member; Rebecca Aspler, former manager at PayPal and Unbound Security; and Mei Li Powell, a former Citi student, as Chief Marketing Officer.

"Last year, the main objective was to develop the team and attract as many talents and seniority as possible," said CEO Adrien Treccani in an interview. Rentals are primarily between Europe, South East Asia and North America.

We have more regions with a growing client base." treccani and demeo also pointed the finger at the new research and development division metaco labs. Who will work on state-of-the-art developments to bring the key sharing technology known as multi-stakeholder computing (mpc) within a hardware security module (hsm), a kind of storage and physical calculation case that the big banks know well. Treccani and DeMeo also reported on a new R&D division, Metaco Labs.

This will work on state-of-the-art developments to bring key sharing technology known as Multi-Party Computing (MPC) within a Hardware Security Module (HSM), a kind of storage and physical calculation case that the big banks know well. As a general rule, keys are signed into the hsms system and stored into the hsms system.

Now, rather than just keys, HSM would build and store key fragments, Which means that these fragments would never congregate to create a key outside of hsm." This expansion is relevant for metaco customers, who usually want to know if they should go with mpc or hsm, noted treccani. Moreover, the complexity of mpc drives many users to the "absolute catastrophe" scenario, where all the key fragments are stored in the same data center, he added. This is relevant for Metaco customers, who usually want to know if they should go for a MPC or HSM solution, Treccani noted.
